Berlin WelcomeCard
The Berlin WelcomeCard allows for unlimited use of public transport and gives you up to 50% off in more than 190 museums and attractions in Berlin.
Berlin WelcomeCard
The Berlin WelcomeCard includes unlimited travel on the subway (U-Bahn), trains (S-Bahn), and buses of Berlin and surrounding cities.
- AB Zone: Valid for the Berlin municipality.
- ABC Zone: Valid for the municipalities of Berlin and Potsdam (includes the Berlin Schönefeld and Brandenburg airports).
Each card permits the use of public transport by an adult and up to 3 children between 6 and 14.
Discounts
As well as transport, the Berlin WelcomeCard includes discounts of up to 50% on the main attractions of Berlin. This includes:
- Berlin Cathedral
- Television Tower
- Charlottenburg Palace
- Checkpoint Charlie Museum
- DDR Museum
- Madame Tussauds Berlin
- Deutsches Technikmuseum
- Sanssouci Palace
- Currywurst Museum
It also includes discounts on many attractions, shows, stores, and restaurants. You can download the catalog of all the attractions included at this link.
Museum Island
If you plan to visit at least two of the six museums on Museum Island (essential), we recommend you select the option of 3 days + Museum Island, as this option includes the entrance to these museums.
Museums on Museum Island:
- Ancient Museum
- New Museum
- National Antique Gallery
- Bode Museum
- Pergamon Museum
- James Simon Gallery.
How does it work?
The Berlin WelcomeCard is valid from the time of first use. It can then be used during the following 48 or 72 hours, depending on which option you've chosen. For example, if you activate a 48 Hours ABC Zones card at 10 am on Monday, it'll be valid until 10 am on Wednesday.
If you select the longer duration options, the card will be valid for periods of days rather than hours (4, 5, or 6 consecutive days), so we recommend using it for the first time in the morning.
Each Berlin WelcomeCard is valid for one adult and up to 3 children.
Printed Guide
Once you have the Berlin WelcomeCard, you can pick up a complete printed guide at any of the Berlin Tourist Information offices:
- Berlin Brandenburg Airport: Terminal 1, Level E0. Daily from 9 am to 9 pm, except on Mondays and Thursdays, when it closes at 5.30 pm.
- Berlin Train Station: daily from 9 am to 7 pm.
- Humboldt Forum: Gate 4, Schlüterhof. Daily from 10 is to 6 pm.
- Brandenburg Gate: Daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
Important
The Pergamon Altar is closed due to restoration works. According to predictions, it'll re-open in two to five years' time. The rest of the Pergamon Museum is open as usual.
