At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the BMW Motorrad Welt to begin our guided tour of the BMW motorbike factory in Berlin. This factory, located on the banks of the Spree River, is one of the German capital's most important motor industry centres. Let's explore it!
BMW has been manufacturing top-of-the-range motorbikes in Berlin since 1969. The factory we'll visit employs more than 2,200 people, who produce up to 800 motorbikes a day. In fact, the plant in the German capital is one of the leaders in international motorbike production.
During the tour of the production site, we'll visit the logistics centre, one of the most modern in the global motorbike industry. In addition, we'll enter the assembly hall, where BMW motorbikes are assembled using around 2,000 parts and components.
Did you know that almost every BMW motorbike in the world has Berlin air in its tyres? We'll discover more curiosities like this as we tour other areas of the production plant. We'll also discover what the electric mobility of the future will be like through different BMW models.
Finally, after a tour lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes, we'll conclude this visit at the main entrance to the factory.
